Refosco grapevines are the trademark
of the Karst and account for the great majority of vines in the region’s vineyards. The traditional name for wine from the Refosco grape grown on terra rossa (also known as jerina) is Teran (or Terrano on the Italian side of the border). Teran is famous for its above-average antioxidant content, of which its deep red colour and fresh character are evidence.
